Summary
Twin Falls High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Studies teacher for grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, cultural awareness, and civic engagement among students through a dynamic and inclusive curriculum. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages students to explore historical events, social structures, and global issues.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and district curriculum.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and open dialogue among students.
- Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences and engage students in contemporary issues.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community outreach programs to foster a strong school culture.
- Stay informed about current events and trends in social studies education to continuously improve teaching practices.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for grades 9-12 in Social Studies or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of social studies content, including history, geography, civics, and economics.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports diverse student needs.
- Experience with classroom management and effective teaching strategies.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources.
- Commitment to professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
- Previous teaching experience at the high school level is preferred but not required.
