You’ll lead a small, high‑impact engineering team to deliver scalable, automation‑first, and AI‑enabled service operations that reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and lower operational risk.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Benefits you can count on:

  • Paid time off begins day one.
  • 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days.
  • Additional benefits: pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, tuition reimbursement program, and more!

What You’ll Do

  • Own and execute a 3–5 year ITSM platform roadmap covering modernization, cloud strategy, automation, AI, and DevSecOps alignment.
  • Architect and govern scalable workflows, integrations, and customizations across the Atlassian ecosystem.
  • Lead CMDB and Assets/Insight strategy, including data governance, discovery, and service mapping aligned with ITIL practices.
  • Drive automation and AI adoption through virtual agents, predictive routing, and intelligent remediation to reduce tickets and MTTR.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a small platform engineering team while ensuring high‑quality delivery and operational excellence.
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive enterprise onboarding, training, executive reporting, and platform decision‑making.
  • Ensure platform security, performance, reliability, and compliance with audit and cybersecurity requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of hands‑on Jira/Atlassian administration and engineering experience.
  • 2+ years in a lead, platform owner, or product owner role.
  • Deep expertise with Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Confluence, Assets/Insight, automation, and integrations.
  • Strong experience with scripting and APIs (Groovy, Python, REST) and DevOps toolchains.
  • Proven ability to own product and platform roadmaps, evaluate vendors, and assess marketplace applications.
  • Demonstrated success leading and mentoring small technical teams and delivering cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive‑level communication skills.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
