The Project Delivery Supervisor - Fuel Security is a critical dual-function role responsible for driving commercial growth and ensuring flawless execution of fuel security projects across Latin America. This position serves as the primary customer interface for new business development while managing successful delivery of ongoing fuel marker, authentication, and fuel security projects throughout the region.
You will identify and pursue new opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and maintain exceptional customer satisfaction while serving government customers, regulatory agencies, oil companies, distributors, and industry associations.
 
Reports to: BU Director
Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Travel: 30-40% throughout Brazil and LATAM

 Work Environment: Mix of office, customer sites, laboratories, third-party inspectors, and field locations
 
This role combines strong commercial acumen with project management excellence to expand market presence and combat fuel theft while improving lives and the environment.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial or project management roles
  • 3+ years in fuel, energy, chemicals, or related industrial sectors
  • Proven track record managing complex technical  projects from initiation to completion
  • Demonstrated success in B2B/B2G sales, particularly in technical or industrial markets
  • Experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies
  • Previous LATAM experience strongly preferred
  • Understanding of fuel supply chains, distribution, and storage
  • Understanding of LATAM regulations and tax systems
  • Project Management fundamentals
  • Portuguese – Native or fluent
  • Spanish – Fluent/Advanced (essential for LATAM coverage)
  • English – Business proficient
  • Strong business development and sales skills
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities

Job responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new fuel security opportunities across the LATAM region
  • Conduct customer needs assessments and develop tailored fuel security solutions
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals for fuel marking programs, authentication systems, and testing services in coordination with laboratory
  • Lead customer presentations and product demonstrations
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including government customers, regulatory agencies, oil companies, distributors, industry associations, and laboratory/testing facilities
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape
  • Serve as primary commercial contact for existing LATAM customers
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key customers and develop long-term strategic partnerships
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of fuel security projects including:
    • Fuel marker implementation programs
    • Field testing and sampling programs
    • Authentication technology deployments
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and third-party inspector personnel
  • Conduct regular site visits to customer sites and implement improvement initiatives
  • Manage customer and third-party inspector relationships in the LATAM region
  • Partner with third-party inspectors, distributors, and all stakeholders within the vertical supply chain
  • Travel regularly within the region and provide market intelligence to support new product development
