Position Title: Preschool Teacher
Grade Level: Age 4-5
Teaching Certificate Required: Elementary Teaching License or Early Childhood Teaching License, Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education.
Previous Teaching Experience Preferred but not required.
Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desired:
- Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse learners.
- Provide a safe and supportive work environment for students and staff.
- Monitor and analyze student data to identify areas of need
Must be able to support:
- early reading, writing and math literacy
- differentiated instruction
- inclusion practices
- various assessments and practices for Reading, Writing, Math and early childhood
- behavioral strategies, techniques, and interventions
Position Will Be At: Tiger Cubs Preschool
Physical and Mental Efforts:
- This position requires a high level of physical and mental endurance.
- Sitting in an office/classroom environment, performing tasks on a computer or other technical devices.
- Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Frequent walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one part of the building to another.
- Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas to colleagues and/ or students accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
- Ability to handle and balance multiple demands at the same time.
