Safire Rehabilitation of Northtowns is seeking a full time and part time Dietary Supervisor. The Dietary Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Food Service Director in the creation of high-quality meals and the delivering of a meaningful dining experience for clients in our long term skilled nursing facility.
Pay rate: $17.00/hr
Job Type: Full-time and Part time;
Full Time Position Hours: 6am-2pm and every other weekend required;
Part Time Position Hours: 4pm-8pm/12pm-8pm every other weekend required;
Responsibilities include:
· Overseeing and assisting the food service staff with meal preparation based on established menus, regulations, policies, procedures and best practices
· Assist with meal preparation and service for meals delivered to residents
· Ensure proper temperatures and food safety practices are followed and documented as needed
· Ensure meals are completed and served on time and in proper portions to meet state regulations
· Maintain and monitor accurate meal documentation records per established procedures.
· Assist with cleaning of equipment and work areas
· Give directive to dietary staff members
· Follow production guides and menus for the proper production of meals for service, as required.
· Coordinates and plans food preparation activities for special events.
· Supervises the storage & care of food and supplies.
· Oversee dietary aides to ensure proper cleaning, production, and job tasks are completed
· Oversees the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, and equipment.
Qualifications:
· Must possess, as a minimum a high school or equivalent education.
· Completion of a food service supervisor course preferred, Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
· One (1) year food service experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting.
· Knowledge of state and federal food-handling and kitchen regulations (Serve Safe Certification). Must possess knowledge of food service operations.
· Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.
