An Associate Buyer, purchases goods and services. Manages the replenishment of specific product categories to ensure adequate supply on hand and future stocking to meet anticipated inventory goals. May manage product forecasts and seasonality adjustments. Maintains timely and accurate purchase order costing and follows up on vendor confirmations. Expedites deliveries and product fill-in orders based on anticipated demand. Manages excess and dead inventory by executing inventory management processes and procedures. May provide drawings to help suppliers understand specially configured items. Works with the warehouse to identify and receive material. Works with Accounts Payable on outstanding invoices. Reports delays to installation teams.

Responsibilities

  • Gains familiarity with Buyer methods, processes and priorities.
  • Works with more senior team members to obtain price quotes for materials and services.
  • With guidance, follows up with vendors regarding order status.
  • Completes, maintains and updates documentation as required.
  • Works within a work group.
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
    • Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Buyer.
    • Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
