Assistant Transportation Manager (Full-Time) JFM Logistics, LLC

Location: Womelsdorf, PA Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional evenings/weekends as needed)

JFM Logistics, LLC is looking for a strong, hands-on Assistant Transportation Manager to lead and support our transportation team. If you're an experienced leader in logistics who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing teams, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Transportation Manager, you'll play a key role in overseeing daily transportation operations and ensuring efficiency, safety, and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of 20+ drivers and relief drivers
  • Manage delivery schedules, routing, and load planning
  • Monitor and improve driver performance, productivity, and safety
  • Maintain driver schedules and provide coverage when needed
  • Coach and develop team members in safety, efficiency, and customer service
  • Support hiring, on-boarding, and performance management processes
  • Partner with HR on employee relations, coaching, and corrective actions
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives within transportation operations
  • Collaborate with the Transportation Manager on departmental goals and projects

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in transportation/logistics supervision
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and outdoor work
  • Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Must be able to lift/move items over 100 lbs as needed
  • Requires strong visual awareness (close, distance, and peripheral vision)
