Tri-County Technical College is seeking innovative and student-focused individuals to join our Arts and Sciences Division as Adjunct Art History and Appreciation Instructors. We are looking for educators passionate about fostering an appreciation for visual culture and helping students navigate the historical and social contexts of art.
Role Responsibilities:Instructors will be responsible for teaching one or more sections of ART 101: Art History and Appreciation, a primary transfer course. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality instruction in person at various campuses, online, or in a hybrid format based on departmental needs.
- Engaging students in the critical analysis of art from prehistoric periods through the contemporary era.
- Maintaining accurate student records and providing timely feedback on assignments.
- Adhering to college policies and academic standards.

Position Duties
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet one of the following educational criteria:
- A Master’s degree in Arts or Fine Arts(MA or MFA) in any art major.
- A Master’s degree in any field, supplemented by at least18 graduate-level semester hours in any type of art (Art History, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, etc.).
Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, a current CV/Resume, and unofficial graduate transcripts for initial review.
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching at the post-secondary level
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Blackboard or Canvas) for online or hybrid instruction.
