Job Purpose
To supplement the skillset and offering of the existing CAD team based in Fourways.
Responsibilities:
3D modelling designs of mine waste facilities (tailings storage facilities and mine dumps) and related infrastructure.
Production of engineering drawings from concept, through to construction and as-built drawings.
Engineering detailing.
Drawing office management, including training and mentoring.
Assisting design engineers and project managers with project delivery.
Any other responsibilities that may be put into effect in the future by management will automatically become part of the basic job description.
Minimum Requirements:
A senior level civil CAD design draftsperson or designer with at least 10 years of experience within mining (tailings storage facilities and mine dumps) and related infrastructure engineering draughting and design, including civil and infrastructure draughting skills
Experience in detailing of drawings and models from concept level through to construction drawings.
A formal technical qualification in Civil Engineering would be an advantage. PrTech would be ideal.
Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
Digital terrain modelling experience is essential.
Team management, mentorship and training experience in drawing office environment is essential.
An understanding of civil design software, systems and services will be viewed favorably.
Valid driver’s license.
