Role Purpose

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in supporting the daily operation of the facility and all production equipment. This position ensures that all systems remain in production-ready condition and that the facility provides necessary support for manufacturing. The technician works closely with the Facility Manager and team to maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.


Scope & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Perform system maintenance on all facility systems and support equipment

Record all maintenance activities in CMMS (COGZ)

Conduct cleaning and leak checking of systems, components, and tools after maintenance

Package and prepare components for shipment to external vendors for cleaning or repair

Complete daily maintenance tasks and system checks

Update Excel-based maintenance and preventive maintenance (PM) records

Work safely with hazardous chemicals including alkyls, acids, hazardous gases, and inert gases

Operate power hand tools and bench tools

Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

Utilize basic electronic test equipment

Maintain facility equipment, building, and grounds

Follow direction from the Facility Manager and Senior Technicians

Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions


Work Experience & Skills

Education: 
Technical school graduate, equivalent military training, or relevant job experience


Experience: 
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment


Skills / Knowledge:

Facility and cleanroom experience

Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with various mechanical systems

Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations

Understanding of general maintenance methods and safety practices

Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

Familiarity with electronic test equipment

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on safety


Working Conditions & Physical Requirements (if applicable)

Work Environment: 
Primarily a manufacturing environment


Physical / Operational Requirements:

Ability to pass a pulmonary function test for respirator use

Sufficient mobility and reflexes for industrial work

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Capable of pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting
