IDEAL CANDIDATES
Assists the Director of Facilities in managing budget, capital expenditures, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation. Assists in maintaining the building and grounds with particular attention towards engineering and landscaping. Assigns, tracks, and follows up on status of work assigned to staff. Help to increase guest and employee satisfaction through effective communications and training. Handle day to day operations of the team.
Essential Functions:
Manage engineering and landscaping staff and delegate tasks.
Monitor and maintain engineering equipment and systems.
Keep accurate documentation of work orders, PMs, and projects.
Identify and resolve engineering issues (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration).
Ensure that the team is following all OSHA, safety procedures, including MSDS
Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to use appropriate and specialty hand/electric tools to repair and maintain equipment.
• Work on ladders, scaffolds, and platforms.
• Work and make solid independent decisions with little supervision
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles including golf carts.
• Respond to guest issues with a courteous and professional manner.
• Assist in all areas as needed.
• Must be self-motivated and a problem solver.
• Requires analyzing activities and/or information independently and staying highly organized
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 4 years of experience of leading or supervising an engineering team.
At least 4 years working with a building work order and automation system.
Certification in HVAC/R, CPO, EPA universal certification, and OSHA 30 is preferred.
A sound understanding of engineering principles.
Valid driver's license.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High School or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree or related technical school degree preferred.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits required.
Outlook-- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mails, and Calendar.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Must be fluent in English; bilingual preferred.
