This is a variable hour position located in Oxford, MS. Hours may vary to meet business needs on occasion.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Open the bakery early in the morning
• Clean kitchen equipment and tools before/after use
• Check food ingredients for freshness, quality, and availability
• Weigh the flour and other ingredients to prepare the batter
• Bake different cakes
• Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience as a Baker
• Familiarity with all professional cooking equipment, including mixers and ovens
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Ability to read and follow recipes
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Team spirit
• Flexibility to work early morning shifts and overtime as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift heavy items for an extended time
• Ability to withstand different temperature zones (cooler, freezer, and ambient)
