Job Description

Ludvik Electric Co., with its corporate office in Lakewood, CO and satellite offices in Phoenix, AZ and Salt Lake City, UT; has completed projects all over the United States and abroad. Summary:

Manages and directs design staff. Assists Project Manager and Project Superintendent in establishing the construction plan; interfaces daily with production team and other relevant constituencies for evaluation of changes to model. Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design into working documents.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Uses BIM and VDC for electrical system design and documentation
  2. Prepares clear, complete, and accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for projects.
  3. Implement designs from superintendent’s sketches or from other documentation.
  4. Coordinates 3D models to resolve collisions with other trades.
  5. Takes responsibility for own work produced to a high standard.
  6. Ensure output meets the required standards and meet agreed deadlines.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other Autodesk Software.
  • Bluebeam Drawing Review experience.
  • Associates degree in drafting or minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assignments on time and on schedule.
  • Solid understanding of drafting techniques.
  • Working as a lead member of the drafting team cooperating with the production team members on each project.
  • An understanding and ability to effectively use Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office related software.
  • Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new programs as required.

  • Trimble Field Link / Total Station Experience
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
