Job Description

ACERTUS/AMF Driver Services is currently looking to contract Independent Contractor Drivers.  We are looking for a responsible Drivers to transport our vehicles promptly to our customers / Dealerships. You will represent our company in a professional manner to increase our customer satisfaction. Please review our company website to learn more about company services www.acertusdelivers.com.

Requirements

  • Deliver a wide variety of vehicles from various locations to different addresses throughout the lower 48 states. 
  • Follow routes and time schedule
  • Prepare, inspect and operate a vehicle
  • Complete Electronic Condition reports - ECR
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards - If DOT Certified
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must have a Regular License- We welcome Commercial Drivers
  • May be expected to keep vehicle clean and presentable.
  • Must be at least 23 years of age.
  • Smart Phone Knowledge
  • We are 100% smoke free workplace
  • Must be able to complete orientation program
  • Candidate agrees to pay $75.00USD for Transporter plates PRIOR to taking their first run for ACERTUS. This can be done by:

    1. Loading COMDATA card (Recommended)
    2. Money Order (Recommended)
    3. Certified Check (Recommended)
    4. Personal Check (must wait until check clears) 

Who are we looking to contract?

Independent Contractors

  • We pay per tariff miles and class of vehicle (class ex: cars, truck, dot truck, cdl truck)
  • We pay 80% upfront and 20% at the completion of delivery. This includes the fuel and receipts must be submitted.  Reimbursements that are given back at 100% are for tolls, equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kit, washer fluid, etc.) purchased for vehicles that are  in compliance, last fill fuel fill-up per client request/approval, trip passes.
    • Example: DOT 1200 mile run pays $1032.00 which includes fuel. 80% pays upfront $825.60 and 20% pays $206.40 after the run is completed and receipts are turned in. All payments are loaded on your COMDATA CARD.
  • We pay downtime for breakdowns up to 8 hours, car detail wait, maintenance wait, title and registration, etc.
  • Contractors are 1099 at the end of the year.
  • We do not force dispatch.
  • We do offer Driver bonus incentives.
  • DOT Medical Card is encouraged for more driving options.
  • WE DO NOT ALLOW TOW HITCHES TO OUR VEHICLES.
  • All vehicles are Fleet vehicles and are on a repair maintenance program.

We are looking to contract drivers that have:

  • At least one year of driving OTR experience whether it is driveaway or traditional OTR.
  • CDL Drivers must have at least two (2) years of experience driving the same class of vehicle. 
  • CDL Drivers must complete the consent for the Clearing House and complete the Certificate of Violations ( Annual review of Driving Record). 
  • Drivers who will represent the company, themselves and our clients in a professional manner.
  • Drivers with a good driving record- no more than 6 points, clean background and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must have knowledge of logging to be considered to drive DOT/CDL type vehicles.
  • Must understand it is the responsibility of the contractor to rent their own vehicles, hotels, etc..
  • It is the Driver's responsibility to get from one vehicle to their next vehicle via Uber, bus, plane, etc. 

Additional information:   

  • Regular drivers must attend a two-day orientation lasting two hours each day from 10am -12pm ET. (Tuesday and Wednesday).
  • DOT/CDL drivers must attend a three-day orientation lasting two hours each day from 10am -12pm ET.  (Tuesday – Thursday).
  • After orientation is complete you will receive a driver packet that will contain your transporter plates. This process can take 7-10 business days from the day you completed orientation. 
  • The I/C is responsible for any and all hotels required for a trip. 
  • Absolutely no smoking, eating, vaping, or tobacco use in the client's vehicles or at delivery locations. 
  • Absolutely no passengers allowed in the client's vehicles unless they are an I/C contracted with ACERTUS.
