Position Summary:
West Marine Pro is seeking four Seasonal Pro Customer Care Representative to service Pro Customers.
The Customer Care Representative is a proactive and results-driven individual. This role is essential to delivering outstanding customer service while also identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first attitude, and a passion for meeting and exceeding sales targets. Primary Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction and Sales
- Handle incoming customer calls and emails promptly and professionally.
- Ensure a positive and high-quality customer experience through all sales interactions.
- Place customer orders, answer customer’s inquiries, and provide accurate information about products and services.
- Coordinates sales efforts with marketing programs; promotes product/company focuses.
- Serves as a point of contact and assists in maintaining relationships with accounts.
- Keeps detailed records of customer interactions and transactions by utilizing Salesforce for activity tracking.
- Staying updated on new products, features, and industry trends.
- Provides support to colleagues when needed
Problem Resolution:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot customer problems, offering solutions and alternatives.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are fully resolved.
Education, Experience & Skills:
Minimum education required/preferred, area of study:

- Minimum High School or GED.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum years of relevant experience preferred/required:
- 2+ years Sales experience
- 3+ years Customer service experience
- Proficient knowledge of marine products and/or the marine industry required.
- Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills
- Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
- Ability to foster relationships with customers.
- Proficient in Salesforce Service or Sales Cloud preferred

This position has a starting salary range of $18 per hour.
