We’re looking for a dedicated, hands‑on, and detail‑oriented Mechanic Assistant to support our Transportation Department and help keep our vehicles running at their best.

In this role, you’ll play an essential part in assisting mechanics with preventive maintenance, performing manual tasks, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment for our team.

 

What You’ll Do

As a vital member of our transportation and mechanic shop team, you will:

  • Assist mechanics with manual tasks such as carrying machine parts, tools, and materials to and from work areas.
  • Lift and hold vehicle parts and equipment as needed.
  • Clean and wash equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Scrape paint, grease, and accumulated material from equipment.
  • Perform routine oiling and greasing of mechanic shop equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report all incidents occurring in the work area.
  • Participate in required training, in‑service education, and department/clinic meetings.
  • Support additional tasks and related duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Full‑time schedule of 40 hours per week, with hours/days subject to change based on company needs.
  • Work may occur both indoors and outdoors.
  • Role requires climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
