The BAE Systems site in York, PA is seeking a Senior level Quality Engineer in support of Combat Mission Systems operations on 2nd shift. In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems in a LEAN production vehicle manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring requirements are met primarily throughout the Turret Assembly, Test and Integration processes within the Bradley A4 Value Stream.

In this position as a Senior Quality Engineer, you will interact with various production-oriented working teams (Floor Support, Manufacturing Operators, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, among others) to ensure that processes are in place to prevent defects from occurring.  In cases where defects do occur, you will engage to research, document, contain and help to resolve the problem through numerous methods available to you, while ensuring effective communication of any needs and status across counterpart support teams.  In addition, you will play a key role in RCCA required for internal and external deficiencies when identified, and will develop and maintain a positive working relationship with DCMA personnel.

Schedule: This is a 2nd Shift role with typical hours of 2:00PM-11:30PM on the "9/80" schedule. There is some flexibilty of ~an hour for start/end time.

Required Skills and Education

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with four (4) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent.
  • Typically requires a mechanically-oriented individual with experience interpreting drawings, standards and specifications as well as procedures and work instruction documentation.
  • Requires working knowledge of Quality Assurance/Quality Control fundamentals.
