Job Description

Company Overview

GTI Fabrication designs and manufactures complex modular systems supporting energy, data centers, and industrial markets. With operations in Arizona and New York, we specialize in high-mix, build-to-order manufacturing and full system integration—delivering mission-critical infrastructure solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Our culture is built on Quality, Safety, Customer Obsession, Speed, and Agility. We operate with a startup mindset, where ownership, accountability, and execution drive results.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced, high-mix production environment. This role is critical to driving execution across the floor—ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and consistently meeting delivery commitments. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capability, a deep understanding of manufacturing workflows, and a hands-on approach to driving performance. This individual will play a key role in developing teams, improving throughput, and building a culture centered on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Additionally, this role requires experience supporting or operating within a UL508A panel shop environment, ensuring electrical assembly and integration activities meet UL and NEC compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership & Execution

  • Manage and execute production schedules aligned to weekly demand planning established by plant leadership
  • Communicate clear daily, weekly, and monthly production targets to supervisors, team leads, and operators
  • Drive accountability and structure across the manufacturing floor, setting clear expectations at the team and individual level
  • Monitor production performance and adjust labor, resources, or schedules to maintain output and delivery targets

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency across production cells and individual operators
  • Drive lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize workflow
  • Track and report key production metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to plant leadership

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other production areas to ensure alignment on production flow, materials, and priorities
  • Ensure seamless communication across departments to support on-time delivery and operational efficiency

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop production staff, including supervisors, leads, and operators
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Train and motivate team members to consistently meet and exceed performance expectations

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards across all production activities
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements

Electrical Integration & UL508A Compliance

  • Support and oversee production activities related to electrical panel assembly within a UL508A panel shop environment
  • Ensure all electrical builds meet UL508A, NEC, and customer-specific requirements
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to standardize panel build processes, documentation, and inspection criteria

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies
  • Experience in fabrication, coatings, electro-mechanical assembly, or complex system integration
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability and willingness to be actively engaged on the manufacturing floor
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with production management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in or supporting operations within a UL508A-certified panel shop
  • Strong understanding of industrial control panels, electrical wiring, and UL/NEC standards
