Roles & Responsibilities

• Reads work order and drawings for product specifications, such as dimension and tolerances
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, boring machines, drill press, and grinders, to machine forgings to specifications, following blueprints, and/or sketches applying knowledge of machining methods
• For this position, day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
  • Set up and operate machine shop equipment
  • Observe operation of machine and follow Safety rules
  • Verify dimensions using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, etc.
     

Desired Requirements

• Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions
• Must have knowledge of metal characteristics and machining methods

Competency

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year machine shop experience desired
• Minimum one (1) year of Manual Lathe and / or VTL experience required
