Title: Advanced Specialist, Professional Services
Location: Noida, Bangalore (Hybrid)

Job Summary

The Security Analyst supports the integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of Pearson’s high-stake English language assessments, including PTE Academic, PTE Core, PTE Express, and PEIC.

This role is responsible for post test security analysis, investigation of suspected malpractice, application of security holds, and evidence based decision making to ensure that only valid and defensible test results are released. The Security Analyst operates in a regulated, visa impacting environment, where accuracy, consistency, and audit ready decision making are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Security Analytics & Risk Monitoring

  • Analyse post test data to identify unusual test performance patterns, anomalies, or indicators of potential malpractice.
  • Apply and manage security holds in line with approved policies and procedures.
  • Review trends across security holds, revoked tests, and emerging risk patterns.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of security analytics and detection criteria.

Security Investigations

  • Conduct individual test investigations for tests captured by security, programme, or incident related holds.
  • Review and assess investigation evidence, which may include CCTV footage, audio recordings, biometric data, registration information, test responses, and payment data.
  • Support site level investigations where systemic or serious risks to test integrity are identified.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of investigation findings and outcomes.

Decision Making & Outcomes

  • Make or recommend decisions regarding score release, score revocation, retest eligibility, or further escalation.
  • Ensure all decisions are evidence based, policy aligned, and proportionate to the identified risk.
  • Support timely resolution of security cases to minimise unnecessary delays to score release.

Incident & Escalation Support

  • Support test security incidents and malpractice cases in line with established incident management processes.
  • Contribute security input to incident reviews, escalations, and post incident analysis.
  • Provide accurate information and evidence to support incident reporting and follow-up actions.

Regulatory, Audit & Stakeholder Support

  • Support responses to regulator, government, and recognising organisation queries relating to test security and integrity.
  • Contribute to audit ready documentation and evidence packs.
  • Work closely with Customer Support, Operations, Product, and delivery partners to ensure consistent handling of security related matters.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in regular security review and governance forums.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of security procedures, documentation, and reporting.
  • Support the identification of emerging risks and evolving fraud patterns across delivery models and regions.

 

Required Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience working in security, investigations, risk, compliance, quality assurance, or a related operational role.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess complex information and make sound, defensible decisions.
  • Clear written communication skills, particularly for documenting investigations and outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in a regulated, high-stake operational environment.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting assessment delivery, test security, fraud detection, or investigation processes.
  • Familiarity with handling sensitive data and evidence.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
