Job Description

Orchard Farm School District is seeking a paraprofessional to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year! Our mission is to empower each learner to excel in diverse communities. Paraprofessionals provide social, physical, and academic support and/or supervision in general and special education settings, including but not limited to, the cafeteria, classrooms, recess, and assemblies. These services may include ambulatory, eating, and toileting assistance.


 


Shift Hours Are On A Rotating Schedule: 


9:30-5:00


9:30-5:30


9:30-6:00


 


The district offers a great benefit package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance paid for by the district.  


 


Starting rate: $16.50 - $20.10 (depending on experience/certification)


 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 60 credit hours from an accredited college/university or higher

  • Missouri Substitute Certificate (be able to obtain within 30 days of acceptance of offer)

  • Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner

  • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form

  • Ability to follow written and oral communication 

  • Ability to problem solve


An individual who holds this position is required to:



  • Assist students with disabilities according to their individualized needs, including transferring to and from wheelchairs, lifting, or positioning

  • Assist students with physical care including feeding, bathroom needs, and personal hygiene

  • Assist in managing the behavior of students

  • Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students

  • Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law

  • Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events when requested by administration

  • Help supervise arrival and departure of students, and provide supervision and support in multiple settings throughout the school day

  • Follow instructions from teachers and administrators
