Job Description

At Richland Bean-Blossom Health Care Center, we specialize in rehabilitation services to improve the speed and scope of recovery following injury and do so in a private and dignified manner. 

 

FT days except 2 evenings/week

 

Job Summary:

 

Responsible for developing and implementing engaging activity programs that align with residents' needs, interests, and abilities. Collaborates with management and interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident well-being while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assess residents and create individualized and group activity programs.
  • Communicate with residents, families, and staff to ensure personalized engagement.
  • Manage departmental operations, including budgeting, staffing, and care planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of activities and resident participation.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and support regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition.
  • Assist in policy development and participate in survey processes.
  • Support the Resident Council and advocate for resident needs.
  • Stay current with industry best practices through training and education.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and financial documents.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., stand, bend, walk, and perform physical tasks in a healthcare setting.

 

Education and/or Experience: 


Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Meets state and federal requirements.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:


Driver’s license per position requirements.
