    Locations: Maire Elementary / Parcells Middle School

     

    Qualifications

     

    • An Associate's Degree or higher or ETS Exam for Paraprofessionals with a 460 or higher score (https://www.ets.org/parapro). Must have met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate (through a formal State or local academic assessment) knowledge of the ability to assist in instruction, as appropriate.

    • Experience working with students with disabilities

    • Ability to assist teachers with educational instruction, behavior management, leisure and recreation activities

    • Ability to work as a team member

    • Ability to motivate and engage students

    • Ability to assist students, some of whom are young adults, with personal hygiene needs

    • Ability to document data regarding specific student needs

    • Crisis Prevention Institute certificate preferred

     

    Compensation

     

    • The ESY pay rate shall be your current hourly pay rate. 

    • Total number of positions will be determined based on interest and enrollment.
