Job Description

TITLE:                                     EC/ECATS DATA MANAGER


 


QUALIFICATIONS:






        1. High School diploma

        2. Demonstrated aptitude or competency for assigned responsibilities.

        3. Minimum two years’ experience in related position.

        4. Familiarity with computer programs and the internet.

JOB GOAL:                           To assure the smooth and efficient operation of ECATS


 


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:


 



  • Follow all rules, and procedures of Carteret County Schools, along with State and Federal regulations pertaining to Special Education and student personnel issues.

  • Ensure strong departmental customer service to internal and external customers by receiving and responding to written and phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality for all students, parents and personnel matters.

  • Review all Private school students’ paperwork for accuracy and make sure forms are close/verified in ECATS (Every Child Accountability & Tracking System)

  • Enter data entry for all private school students in EC Database.

  • Make and maintain EC folders for all private school students.

  • Send record requests that are received from Disability Determination Services, Voc. Rehab., Law firms, etc. to the correct schools so they can send accurate student records.

  • Training individuals and groups of EC staff for Basic ECATS Training.

  • Assist Testing Coordinator with accuracy in ECATS and PowerSchool.

  • Provide technical support for all EC staff in ECATS.

  • Contact DPI for (ECATS) technical support when needed.

  • Attend ECATS Update meetings with DPI.

  • Keep all SPED transportation paperwork accurate and updated and coordinate with TIMS on a regular basis.

  • Log all EC Assistive Technology equipment, put all new AT Equipment in database, inventory equipment and manage requests.

  • Assist EC Director with reports for LEA Analysis purposes.

  • Assist Regional Coordinators with reevaluation reports to ensure accuracy on reevaluation dates.

  • Run appropriate reports for Regional Coordinators for Child Count.

  • Ensure & submit accurate data information for December 1st and April 1st EC Child Count.

  • Ensure & submit accurate data information for Indicator 7, Indicator 11, Indicator 12 and September Exit count.

  • Prepare reports for Director after December 1st and April 1st Child Count.

  • Monitor 504 spreadsheets monthly and compare to hard copies sent by the schools and PowerSchool.

  • Maintain neat and orderly office suite.

  • Maintain professional attire.

  • Other such duties as assigned by the EC Director.


 


 


 


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:


Twelve month year.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
