We pride ourselves on delivering reliable, high-quality solar installations and are excited to offer an opportunity for a Solar Electrical Supervisor to join our team.

We are seeking an experienced Solar Electrical Supervisor with deep expertise in solar installations, electrical service work, and NYC DOB inspections to oversee our field electrical and service teams. This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, the ability to manage multiple crews, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

This role serves as the primary technical point of contact for the Account Management and Project Management teams, ensuring all preparatory and post-installation work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Mpower’s standards.



Responsibilities:

  • Oversee electrical and roofing installation teams, ensuring safety, quality, commissioning, and on-time job completion
  • Review site survey photos and documentation to determine the work required to bring homes up to code and inspection-ready
  • Manage service upgrade scopes, including panel upgrades, panel relocations, feeder replacements, and related electrical work
  • Lead DOB inspections end-to-end, ensuring jobs are properly prepared and that any objections are corrected quickly and correctly
  • Provide hands-on field support, training, and oversight to technicians to resolve issues and reinforce best practices
  • Own technician onboarding, development, and team culture, driving accountability, morale, and high performance
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve field issues and maintain efficient project flow
  • Maintain clear job documentation and reporting to support accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement


Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on residential electrical and solar experience, including service upgrades and troubleshooting
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC, utility requirements, safety standards, and DOB inspection processes
  • Experience with Enphase and SolarEdge systems, including commissioning and monitoring
  • Proven ability to lead field crews, manage multiple active jobs, and make real-time decisions on site
  • Field-ready and solutions-oriented, comfortable working on ladders and roofs
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between job sites
