Our client is seeking a strategic and visible Executive Director to serve as the leading advocate for housing providers while guiding the organization’s strategy, operations, and member engagement. This leader will represent the industry in critical conversations with city leaders, policymakers, the Governor’s office, industry partners, and the media, while ensuring the organization remains a trusted and credible voice in housing discussions.

Working closely with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead a nine-person professional team, strengthen member engagement, and ensure the organization continues to deliver meaningful value through advocacy, education, and industry leadership.

This role requires a leader who can effectively balance external advocacy with strong internal leadership, guiding the organization through an evolving housing landscape while maintaining operational excellence.

what you will do…

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented culture.
  • Strengthen member engagement and participation, expanding the organization’s reach and value to housing providers across the region.
  • Oversee the organization’s financial and operational performance, ensuring effective management of programs, resources, and services.
  • Build strong relationships with members, community leaders, partners, and national industry organizations to elevate the organization’s influence.
  • Guide the organization’s continued evolution and modernization, including improvements to operations, technology, and the member experience.
