Job Title: Automation Controls Engineer

About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing automation integrator delivering advanced machine design and manufacturing automation systems across medical device, aerospace, defense, and high-end industrial markets is seeking an experienced Automation Controls Engineer.

Due to continued expansion, the organization is adding a senior-level engineer to support a strong project pipeline and help deliver complex automation systems from concept through commissioning.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in hands-on automation environments and enjoy owning projects end to end.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and program PLC and HMI-based control systems
  • Develop Allen Bradley PLC solutions using Rockwell Studio 5000
  • Configure and program FactoryTalk View and HMI platforms
  • Design electrical control panels and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Integrate robotics systems (Fanuc preferred)
  • Support SCADA integration including Ignition
  • Lead or support projects from concept through startup and commissioning
  • Troubleshoot automation systems and improve performance
  • Work directly with engineering teams and customer stakeholders

What We’re Looking For
  • 7–10 years of automation or controls engineering experience
  • Strong expertise with Allen Bradley PLC platforms
  • Rockwell Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View proficiency
  • Electrical control panel design experience
  • Industrial networking and I/O systems knowledge
  • Robotics integration experience (Fanuc preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or related)

Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000 + 5–10% Bonus
