Job Description

We are hiring immediately for a Chemical Processor.

What you will be doing as a Chemical Processor:

In this role, you can expect to apply cadmium plating, buff, polish, surface finish, and harden a wide variety of aircraft parts. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with both higher and lower grade Operators, enhancing your skills and experience. Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Electroplating Operations: Perform electroplating to surface finish and harden parts, ensuring quality and maintaining plating thickness
  • Equipment Operation: Operate electroplating equipment, maintaining attention to time and current flow
  • Part Preparation: Select, position, and prepare parts for electroplating, using hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Polishing and Buffing: Operate polishing wheels or use chemicals to buff and polish aircraft parts
  • Cadmium Plating: Perform cadmium plating on various parts, maintaining solution levels and temperatures, and setting plating cycle times
  • Quality Assurance: Clean, rinse, and check parts for required buildup, selecting appropriate fixtures and determining spacing in the tank

 

 What you need to be successful:

 A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required

One year experience in metal, chemical, or related processing experience is required

 Ability to work in shop conditions with various temperatures, fumes, chemicals, dust, and noise is needed
