We’re looking for an Allocator to join our Product & Insights team based in the 8330 Chester office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Manager, Insights & Allocations.
Job Overview: Reporting to the Manager, Demand, Insights & Allocations, the Allocator supports the Product & Insights team by ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time and in the right quantity. This role plays a key part in maximizing sales opportunities, minimizing waste and stockouts, and supporting seasonal and year-round inventory strategies across all sales channels.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Allocate year‑round and seasonal product weekly across all sales channels
- Align inventory distribution with sales potential, shop capacity, and operational needs
- Support new shop openings with accurate product, supply, and equipment allocation
- Optimize replenishment logic (safety stock, lead times, weeks‑on‑hand targets)
- Monitor in‑season inventory performance to manage sell‑through, stockouts, and overstock risks
- Provide data‑driven insights to Demand, Supply, and Merchandising teams for forecasting and production decisions
- Support new product launches and seasonal initiatives through aligned allocation strategies
- Adjust distribution plans based on early performance and emerging trends
- Conduct post‑season inventory analysis and document learnings for future seasons
- Drive process improvement and automation to reduce manual work and improve decision speed
- Act as allocation subject‑matter expert, translating insights into actionable recommendations
- Mentor junior allocators and support consistent decision‑making frameworks
You will be a good fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Demand Planning, Statistics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in retail planning, allocations, demand planning, or inventory management are a must
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (using queries, pivot tables, etc.).
- Experience with retail planning or ERP systems (e.g., JDA, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer focus and a genuine love for retail
- Strong organization and time management with the ability to manager multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Comfortable working extra hours during peak seasons
Preference is given to those who have:
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting and visualization tools.
- Strong customer focus and passion for retail.
- Ability to work effectively in environments with changing priorities and ambiguity.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on identifying root causes and developing solutions.
