Job Description

Country Manager, Philippines

What we do

At Terabase Energy, we believe that digitalization and automation will drive the next wave of innovation and cost reduction in large scale solar.  To fully unlock the potential of this opportunity, Terabase is developing an interconnected software and construction automation platform.  We work alongside project developers, owners, and engineering & construction firms to support the design, optimization, and construction of huge solar projects around the world. Our team is a blend of solar-industry veterans and newbies, thought-leaders, dreamers, software, electrical and mechanical engineers, coders, product managers, project managers, accountants, and sales and marketing professionals. We are based in Northern California, with several other offices in the United States and around the world.  If all of this piques your interest, we’d love to hear from you!

The Role

The Country Manager will be responsible for overseeing Terabase’s unique operating environment and culture: high-growth, innovative, lean, and values-driven in the Philippines. This is a senior leadership role that requires management and strategy. We expect that the country manager will help ensure successful execution of all Terabase initiatives, implementation of new processes and technology, and adapt global strategy locally. This position is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with experienced US team members and a vital contributor to Terabase’s future ambitions.

Responsibilities

•       Create and maintain relationships with leaders and their team members, to support organizational needs and to continue to build on our amazing culture.

•       Collaborate with U.S.-based leadership and cross-functional teams, overlapping with U.S. working hours for alignment and regular communication.

•       Help define and document business processes across teams in our Philippines office, improving efficiencies and technology adoption.

•       Ensure compliance with established company processes and assist with adaption to Philippines market, such as recruiting and onboarding.

•       Lead and inspire the local team to achieve business objectives. Ensure tracking and measure quarterly KIs to measure team performance.

•       Anticipate and mitigate operational and reputational risks.

•       Represent the company as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, as well as government agencies and other external shareholders.

•       Oversee local hiring, onboarding, and employee engagement programs.
