Junior Dryer Vent Cleaning Technician

Ready to put your skills to work and grow your career? Lint-X is a well established air duct and dryer vent cleaning company serving high end clientele, multi unit properties and commercial buildings. We're looking for dependable people who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality and want to earn a strong living. With 500+ 5-star reviews, Lint-X is the go to duct cleaning service for discerning homeowners and property managers.

Why this role might be right for you

  • High earning potential: $22–$27 per hour (depending on experience) plus commissions.
  • Retirement Benefits: Build your retirement savings with our SIMPLE IRA program and employer match.
  • Time off: Paid time off and paid holidays after six months on the team.
  • Company vehicle & tools: We provide a fully equipped company vehicle, tools, and cell phone so you can focus on serving customers.
  • Paid training: We'll teach you everything you need to know about HVAC through a mix of classroom instruction and in field shadowing, so you can build confidence and skills.
  • Consistent work: Our reputation for quality keeps us busy year round. You'll have a reliable schedule with the chance to earn extra on longer days.
  • Positive team environment: You'll work alongside experienced service technicians who support one another and share pride in a job well done.
  • Career growth: Opportunities for advancement as you gain experience and demonstrate your expertise.

What to expect in this role

  • Paid training: We offer a mix of in field shadowing and classroom training. You'll learn dryer vent systems, components and tools in the classroom, then shadow a lead HVAC technician for several weeks until you're ready to work independently.
  • Independent work: Once trained, you'll manage your own schedule of 4–6 service calls per day. Your day typically begins between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
  • Active, hands on work: Set up ladders, climb onto pitched roofs, work in attics, crawlspaces and behind dryers. It's like a light full body workout every day, so you'll need to be comfortable with physical activity.
  • Customer interaction: Treat each home with care and respect. You'll communicate with homeowners, explain what you're doing and answer their questions.
  • Documentation: Use our payroll app to clock in/out, and scheduling software to view schedules and record each job with photos and brief summaries.

Schedule & requirements

  • Full time, daytime hours most days with occasional long days (10–14 hours) or night jobs, depending on the project.
  • Occasional Saturdays are required when customer needs demand.
  • Flexibility for overtime: We go until the job is done-our customers expect thorough work.

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on experience: Previous trade or mechanical experience (construction, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping or similar) is helpful.
  • Comfort with physical work: You can set up a 28 foot ladder, climb two story roofs and work in tight spaces.
  • Comfort with tools: You're proficient with basic hand and power tools and enjoy working with your hands.
  • Mechanical aptitude & problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail: You take pride in precise measurements, clean workmanship and following safety guidelines. You work efficiently without cutting corners and follow safety protocols.
  • Customer service: You're friendly, respectful and leave every homeowner feeling confident about their dryer vent system.
  • Independence & communication: You can work independently while also communicating effectively with team members and clients.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver's license
  • Dependable & adaptable: You consistently show up on time, ready to work. Customers and coworkers can rely on you. You keep a steady pace and deliver high quality work, even in challenging environments.

If you're reliable, mechanically inclined and ready to build a career, we want to hear from you. Apply today and start your HVAC journey with Lint-X!
