Job Description

About the Department

"Other Personal Services" (OPS) positions are used to describe positions that are part-time and temporary in nature. OPS jobs will normally be created for the accomplishment of short-term peak workload, or periodic/intermittent tasks or projects for the college. OPS employees do not fill established positions, nor are they assigned the duties of any vacant authorized position. These positions will vary, based on the need of the institution and include office, clerical, administrative, and/or manual labor positions. An OPS temporary employee can work up to 1040 hours (in a 12-month period) unless the employee meets the criteria for extension referenced in Rule 60L-33.005, Florida Administrative Code, and normally are not longer than a six-month employment period.

Position Duties

Job functions will vary depending on the work, project, task, department or other work criteria.


OPS Worker positions earn an hourly rate of $15.00 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Solid technological skills and ability to use computers comfortably. 
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills with special attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with others.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or equivalent required

Part-time employees are allowed to work a maximum of 25 hours per week.
