Job Description

Vital Health is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Youth Driver to support adolescents in our behavioral health and substance use programs. This role combines safe transportation, structured group support, and positive youth engagement in a trauma-informed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport youth to/from programming, appointments, and outings
  • Complete vehicle safety checks and transportation logs
  • Monitor youth during groups, transitions, and activities
  • Reinforce structure, expectations, and appropriate boundaries
  • Support life skills, positive behavior, and youth development
  • Observe and report safety or clinical concerns
  • Assist with maintaining safe, organized youth spaces

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year experience working with youth or adolescents
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to manage behavior calmly and professionally
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work with youth with mental health/SUD diagnoses

Preferred:

  • Behavioral health, education, or youth services experience
  • CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care

Schedule may include afternoons, evenings, or program-related variations.
