Regional Director of Marketing Strategy
As the Regional Director of Marketing Strategy with HVMG, you'll play a vital role in shaping the marketing performance of our hotel portfolio across multiple markets and brands. This role will lead and support our property teams in the development, execution, and oversight of individualized marketing strategies — spanning digital, social, and traditional channels — that drive demand, strengthen brand positioning, and maximize return on investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive portfolio-wide marketing strategy aligned with business, revenue, and growth objectives
- Establish marketing standards, frameworks, and best practices across all properties
- Balance brand compliance with market-specific customization and performance needs
- Serve as the central point of accountability for marketing performance across the portfolio
- Partner closely with Revenue Strategy and Sales to support demand generation across transient, group, and leisure segments
- Ensure marketing initiatives align with pricing strategies, demand patterns, and segment priorities
- Support need-period demand generation, shoulder-night strategies, and market-level campaigns
- Actively participate in commercial strategy discussions to align marketing with revenue outcomes
- Oversee digital marketing strategy, including website content, SEO/SEM, paid media, metasearch, and email campaigns
- Ensure brand.com and direct channels are effectively marketed and optimized for conversion
- Deploys paid media campaigns, monitors return on ad spend (ROAS) and optimizes ROAS based on most profitable tactics
- Evaluate emerging digital trends, platforms, and technologies for portfolio applicability
- Protect and enhance brand positioning across all properties, ensuring brand standards are met or exceeded
- Collaborate with brand partners to maximize participation in brand programs and campaigns
- Guide positioning and storytelling across channels to reflect each property’s unique value proposition
- Support repositioning, renovation, or relaunch initiatives as needed
- Assist with branding efforts for independent hotels
- Manage relationships with marketing agencies, digital vendors, PR firms, and creative partners
- Establish clear performance expectations, deliverables, and accountability measures
- Evaluate agency effectiveness and recommend changes as appropriate
- Ensure efficient use of marketing budgets with a focus on performance and ROI
- Define portfolio marketing KPIs and dashboards
- Analyze marketing performance and translate data into actionable insights for leadership
- Partner with Finance and Revenue teams to measure marketing ROI and contribution to topline performance
- Communicate results, trends, and recommendations to executive leadership and ownership
- Work closely with Operations to align marketing messaging with on-property experience
- Support Sales efforts with collateral, campaigns, and storytelling tools
- Collaborate with Revenue and BI teams to ensure data-driven decision making
- Serve as advisor of marketing funds to General Managers and portfolio leadership

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or related field, or combination of education and work-related experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in hotel marketing, digital marketing, or commercial strategy
- Demonstrated experience leading marketing initiatives at a corporate or portfolio level
- Experience working with multiple brands, ownership groups, or asset types preferred
- Proven track record of data-driven marketing and ROI optimization
