As a Staff Enterprise Technology Engineer, you will act as a senior technology leader and domain guide responsible for the design, integration, and operation of enterprise platforms supporting Mobility & Convenience retail operations. You will partner closely with product, architecture, security, and operations teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and resilient enterprise solutions.

What you will deliver

  • Own the design and evolution of enterprise technology solutions spanning retail back office, fuel, payments, ERP, and supply chain platforms

  • Define enterprise technology standards, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements (security, reliability, performance, compliance)

  • Drive delivery of sophisticated initiatives through vendor and internal engineering teams, ensuring alignment to architecture and operational standards

  • Partner with product management, architecture, security, finance, and operations to translate business needs into technology roadmaps

  • Provide technical and operational leadership for live production platforms, including incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement

  • Mentor and develop enterprise technology resources, including engineers, analysts, and service providers

What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)

Core experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

  • Strong experience leading enterprise technology platforms and integrations within large-scale retail or energy environments

  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP Retail, PDI, or similar retail back office ecosystems

  • Proven ability to operate in complex, multi-vendor environments and influence without direct authority

  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, from engineering teams through senior leadership

  • Comfort working through ambiguity, identifying risks, and driving pragmatic solutions

Enterprise technology & integration expertise

  • Enterprise integration patterns (APIs, events, batch, file-based integrations)

  • Retail transaction domains including pricing, inventory, reconciliation, promotions, and fuel workflows

  • Handling integrations between POS, ERP, finance, payments, loyalty, and fuel systems

  • Data exchange standards including XML, JSON, CSV, and EDI

Platform, cloud, and operations

  • Experience operating enterprise platforms on Microsoft Azure or AWS in partnership with infrastructure teams

  • Strong understanding of identity, networking, security, monitoring, and availability management

  • Experience supporting large-scale production systems, incident response, and service management processes

  • Knowledge of audit, compliance, and control frameworks relevant to enterprise technology environments

Skills that set you apart

  • Enterprise attitude with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational execution

  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities across both technical and functional roles

  • Ability to translate sophisticated technology topics into clear, business-focused communication

  • Customer-focused approach to delivering reliable and scalable enterprise capabilities
