Compensation: $100K base (eligible for commissions and bonus)

Reports to: Chief Sales Officer

Overview: Centricity seeks a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Executive to spearhead growth in the leasing real estate sector. This role focuses on selling Centricity's support services�like property accounting, HR, IT support, insurance, risk management, and ancillary revenue programs�to real estate owners and managers. This role demands a proactive hunter mindset: source, initiate, and close new business with property management firms not yet using Centricity's platform. Own outbound prospecting, pipeline development, full-cycle deals, and cross-functional collaboration for sustained client success. The position reports to the Chief Sales Officer and can be based in Austin, Texas, or hybrid/remote

The Role

  • Manage full sales cycles: prospect, discover needs, pitch solutions, engage stakeholders, negotiate, and close deals.
  • Maintain a relationship with clients after the sale as a key element of client care and retention.
  • Build and nurture relationships with property owners, managers, and partners.
  • Represent Centricity at conferences and events as a brand ambassador and thought leader.
  • Tap networks to generate opportunities and sustain partnerships.
  • Execute high-volume outbound: calls, emails, and visits to qualify leads.
  • Overcome deal obstacles for successful execution aligned with goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally for seamless client onboarding.
  • Craft and present tailored pitches to executives, principals, and managers.
  • Track real estate trends, PPPs, and finance expertise.
  • Innovate services to bolster Centricity's property management leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor�s in business, finance, real estate, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in business development, sales, go-to-market, or client services within student housing, multifamily, or university real estate sectors. Demonstrable record of closing complex, high-value deals (include quantified examples when applying). Proven ability to build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, with active involvement in student housing organizations or conferences. Experience with CRM systems and data-driven sales management.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities. Strategic thinker with strong project management and analytical skills. Self-motivated, collaborative, and goal-oriented. Comfortable with public speaking and frequent travel.
