Supply Chain Supervisor
As a Supply Chain Supervisor, you will directly influence customer experience for thousands of daily orders—leading a frontline team in a fast‑paced e‑commerce fulfillment environment where safety, service, and speed matter every day. The Supervisor reports to the area Operations Manager and is a key leader responsible for departmental performance within a high-volume retail distribution center servicing 93 brick and mortar stores as well as direct to consumer eCommerce fulfillment. This role leads a team of 10-20 hourly associates and ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of operations while providing best in class service to our customers.
Primary Role Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Performance
- Provide hands-on leadership for the assigned associate team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Own departmental performance against key metrics including safety, service level, cost, productivity, and quality.
- Serve as first escalation point for any process, operations, or people concerns.
- Analyze operational procedures and processes to suggest improvements in assigned area.
Safety & Compliance
- Championing a safety culture focused on prevention by setting clear expectations, reinforcing safe behaviors, and holding associates accountable for compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (OSHA, company policies, site procedures).
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action plans; proactively identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Ensures equipment in the assigned functional area is well maintained. Partner with maintenance team on any repair needs.
Cost Management & Productivity
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements for efficiency.
- Use analytics and root cause analysis to address performance gaps and variability.
- Own departmental budgets and actively manage controllable costs while maintaining service and quality standards.
Service & Customer Experience
- Ensure consistent achievement of service commitments, including order accuracy and on time shipping.
- Maintain team member production, accuracy, and attendance records.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions for service failures or variability.
Leadership Development & Culture
- This role has direct authority over daily labor planning, deployment, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned department.
- Ensure all company policies are adhered to and perform coaching conversations as needed.
- Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Model inclusive leadership and reinforce company values across the organization.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of leadership experience in retail distribution, fulfillment, e-commerce, or high-volume warehouse operations.
- Proven experience leading frontline hourly teams.
- Experience with MS Office including Outlook, Excel and Word. WMS and labor management systems experience a plus.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Familiarity with lean concepts and continuous improvement methodologies.
