Primary Purpose:
Provide leadership and oversight for the district’s PreK–5 curriculum and instructional programs.
Provide support in achieving defined objectives through strategic planning, program evaluation, staff development and implementation of innovative programs and classroom instruction.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
Master’s degree in education administration
Special Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of elementary campus operations, curriculum, and instruction
Knowledge of MAP/NWEA, CogAT, Iowa, and LEAP assessments
Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Knowledge of TEKS Resource System and DMAC
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Experience
Five years experience as a classroom teacher
Two years experience in instructional leadership roles
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional and Program Management
• Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of elementary curriculum and instructional programs aligned to district goals and student achievement.
• Collaborate with curriculum staff, principals, and teachers to develop, revise, and maintain curriculum based on data analysis and program evaluation.
• Monitor instructional program effectiveness through ongoing analysis of state and local assessment data to inform campus and district decision-making.
• Establish benchmarks and support systems to track student performance and ensure continuous improvement.
• Participate in district-level planning to establish and monitor goals aligned to the strategic plan.
• Support and participate in the implementation of the district’s teacher appraisal system.
Policy, Reports, and Compliance
• Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in curriculum and instruction area.
• Compile, maintain, and submit all required reports, records, and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Budget
• Administer the elementary instruction budget based on documented program needs, ensuring cost-effective operations and responsible use of funds.
• Ensure availability of resources and technology to support instructional goals.
Communication and Collaboration
• Establish and maintain professional relationships and open communication with principals, teachers, staff, parents, and community members.
Other
• Assist with personnel decisions related to instructional and support staff.
• Participate in and support professional development aligned to district goals and instructional priorities.
• Cooperate with other staff members in promoting a positive organizational climate.
• Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
• Comply with district policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise, support, and evaluate elementary instructional support staff.
