The following duties and responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s), and physical requirements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. The information listed below is not intended to be construed as a complete listing of all duties and responsibilities, KSA’s, and physical requirements required of this position since changes to the position may occur at any time or additional requirements may be added over the course of time.
SUMMARY: Under direct supervision of the Executive Director, Student Success and HSI Project Director the incumbent will be responsible for data collection and management relating to grant activities. Data will be sources from both Temple College and Texas A&M central Texas for enrolled, prospective, and transfer students. Additionally, the incumbent will assist the External Evaluator with data needs as necessary.
Position Duties
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):
Associate’s degree and two (2) years of demonstrated work experience specific to the duties and responsibilities described or high school equivalency and four (4) years of directly related full-time work experience. Part-time experience will be pro-rated and must be related to the duties outlined in the job description.
PREFERRED:
Experience in a Higher Education setting; knowledge of data management practices; knowledge of data processing software. Experience in planning/coordinating events. Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.
Minimum Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will:
- Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Operate, and answer multiple telephone lines and assist with inquiries, screen, and forward calls.
- Refer students to campus resources and in need of accommodations to the Coordinator of Student Accommodations.
- Operate fax machine, computer, scanner, and must use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce correspondence and other documents.
- Attend conferences, and seek out professional development to remain current, and gain more knowledge on industry issues and standards.
- Work directly with the project team to gather data, planning events, classroom presentations, and outreach opportunities to students.
- Organize data based on criteria provided by project team and External Evaluator.
- Maintain calendar of events, team meetings, project activities and keep notification to project team of data needs and deadlines.
- Communicate data deficiencies immediately to Project Director.
- Maintain resource database for STEM students.
- Schedule appointments, meeting, facility usage, and travel arrangements for project team.
- Assist with project events and collaborate with project staff to create and maintain media outreach flyers and information.
- Perform all clerical and administrative tasks for project team.
- Assist with grant expenditure tracking and conduct all project meeting notes.
- Perform other duties, not listed, as needed.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Light physical activity is required with occasional lifting of objects up to 15 pounds. Keyboarding and computer use. May require long periods of sitting or standing.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed in an office setting. Duties will require travel in personal or school owned vehicles.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Summer Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
This is an on-site position. Essential duties of the role must be performed in-person, during prescribed work hours.
