Overview:

Aerotek has an openings for an Internal Communications Specialist in our corporate office in Hanover, MD 

 

Job Summary: The Internal Communication Specialist plays a critical role in helping employees understand company strategy, goals and objectives through effective communication that informs, inspires and motivates employees. As a member of the Internal Communications team, the specialist serves as a partner to key functional leadership, providing support, feedback and guidance on key communication initiatives.  

 

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with a variety of internal clients and functional leaders to provide communication support for strategic business priorities including the development and execution of communication plans
  • Develop message sets aligned to the company strategy and develop communication collateral including presentations, talking points, emails, and e-news
  • Develop and execute content and communication strategy for the company intranet, while providing guidance and oversight of other content managers consistent with intranet protocols
  • Gather and summarize employee feedback on communication effectiveness
  • Plan and develop communication strategies for organizational initiatives and projects 
  • Support and help maintain key communication channels, including employee newsletters, video library, Chatter and more

Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in communication or related major preferred
  •  2-3 year work experience in communications; must be able to showcase communications-related skills and knowledge
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle internal clients with tact and diplomacy, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline pressure
  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills
  • Technology savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Live
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to understand complex business information and effectively communicate key messages to and on behalf of all levels of business management and staff
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment that values creativity, self-motivation, candor, reliability and accountability
 

Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $61,700.00 - $92,500.00 + bonus potential of $5,500 - $8,500
