Job Description

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Pediatrics

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker is responsible for conducting assessments, treatment planning, and counseling to children, adolescents, and their families.

 

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Conduct clinical psychosocial assessments
  • Provide therapeutic, quality, evidenced-based one-to-one and/or group therapy sessions with children/adolescents and their families
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and patients’ progress in resolving identified problems
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to provide personalized treatment plans for every child/adolescent and their family
  • Implement and manage treatment plans
  • Effectively respond to children/adolescents and their family members in a positive and timely manner
  • Collaborate with providers managing medication treatments for patients
  • Engage with the clinical team to provide personalized treatment plans for every child/adolescent and their family
  • Communicate information to providers and other medical professionals, including pediatrician
  • Communicate and work with a child’s/adolescent’s family to ensure treatment plan is being achieved 
  • Refer patients or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary
  • Perform any and all duties as assigned


What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field required
  • State Licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, required
  • 2+ years of post-licensure direct behavioral health experience working with children ages 3-19 and their families required
  • Experience providing teletherapy a plus!
  • Excellent PC skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to thrive in a busy clinic setting and maintain a passion to help those in need
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Work independently, requiring minimal or no oversight and guidance
