Job Description

 

JOB FUNCTION:

Work with the Director and the Coordinator to perform duties essential for the effective operation of the Mobile Food Distribution Program. This program will be based in Bridgeton and will travel to numerous sites in Cumberland and Gloucester County to distribute food on a regular schedule.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist the Coordinator with food collection and distribution.
  2. Stock and organize mobile pantry trailer with food products.  Unload as necessary after distribution events.
  3. Help to sort, organize, and pack incoming food donations.
  4. Assist clients as needed during distribution events.
  5. Ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
  6. Routine upkeep and maintenance of work areas to ensure a clean and orderly work environment.
  7. Assist with intake of new clients as necessary.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. High school Diploma.
  2. Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
  3. Must be willing and able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  4. Ability to interact with the public courteously and relate positively to both clients and staff.
  5. Ability to speak both Spanish and English strongly preferred.
  6. Good organizational and communication skills.
