Job Description

About the Department

This Municipal Associate position is responsible for a variety of duties and reports to the Operations Coordinator. The employee would typically work a 4 hour shift; however; work hours may vary and may include weekends.

Position Duties

The list is not intended to be all-inclusive nor exclusive, but is intended to provide examples of typical duties performed.

  • Greet guests as they enter the facility.
  • Knowledgeable of equipment and how to fully operate the park.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of all park guests
  • Test and document water levels on a routine basis and maintain appropriate chemical to water ratios
  • Enforce facility policies and procedures
  • Check in pavilion rental guests
  • Provide information for memberships and programs.
  • Answer phone calls and routine questions.
  • Register guests for memberships and programs.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned (complete check list).
  • Assist with activity programs as needed.
  • Assist with room set up for programs.
  • Provide friendly customer service to patrons.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must be available to work assigned hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability: 
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: 
Basic computer skills needed.
