Position Summary



We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform inspection and quality verification of incoming raw materials, components, and outsourced processes for a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that all received items meet engineering requirements, purchase order specifications, and quality standards before being released to production. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of technical drawings, GD&T, and inspection methods, and is comfortable working closely with Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams.



Key Responsibilities




  • Perform inspection on incoming raw materials, components, and finished or semi-finished parts

  • Verify conformance to purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements

  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, etc.)

  • Apply AQL and sampling plans as required for incoming inspection

  • Review certifications, material test reports, and supplier documentation for accuracy and compliance

  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material in accordance with SOPs

  • Generate and maintain inspection records, inspection reports, and nonconformance documentation

  • Communicate quality issues with internal teams (Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Production) to support timely resolution

  • Assist Quality Management with root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to supplier issues

  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems, ISO standards, and applicable customer or military specifications

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to incoming quality and supplier performance
