Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Coordinates activities of the cooking ovens during 2nd shift, (knows how to set up/load/empty/read and program ovens for specified product/and handles meat racking for oven preparation).
  • Maintains time and production records; assists supervisors with paperwork; analyzes and works with others in solving work problems.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Knows how to arrange racks in chill boxes to use their full capacity/to swap out temperature recording charts/ how to troubleshoot boilers/blown fuses and chart recorders.
  • Inspect the meat after processing to ensure the quality of the meat is being met per customer specifications.
  • Check temperature of the meat before use.
  • Communicate with Drivers, Supervisor or designated person to ensure that a constant flow of supplies is there at all times.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team and follow direction.
  • Adherence to all quality and safety guidelines.
  • Lifting up to 60 pounds
