POSITION SUMMARY 

 

The Scheduler will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project schedules to ensure the timely and efficient execution of engineering projects. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS.

Scheduler IV

  • Support the scheduling team with data entry and schedule updates.
  • Assist in maintaining historical schedule data for future reference and benchmarking
  • Organize and track project schedule documents, meeting notes, and progress reports.
  • Perform basic schedule comparisons to identify variances.
  • Support day-to-day scheduling adjustments based on unforeseen changes in project requirements or resource availability.
  • Help prepare presentation materials for schedule review meetings.

Scheduler III 

  • Work with teams to track lead times and material deliveries affecting schedules.
  • Collect and analyze data on schedule performance metrics, such as SPI (Schedule Performance Index).
  • Monitor and update schedules, ensuring that activities align with project milestones.
  • Assist in baseline schedule development by gathering input from various project disciplines.
  • Generate and distribute weekly and monthly progress reports to stakeholders.

Scheduler II 

  • Support contract negotiations by developing schedule impact assessments for change orders and claims.
  • Provide earned value management (EVM) reporting to track project performance.
  • Integrate engineering, procurement, and construction activities into a unified project timeline.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis, tracking progress and identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling tools.

Scheduler I 

  • Establish and maintain best practices and procedures for project scheduling and controls.
  • Participate in project planning meetings to provide scheduling input and expertise.
  • Identify risks and critical paths, proposing mitigation strategies to prevent schedule delays.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to establish project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive, resource-loaded schedules for EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) projects.

Requirements

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PER JOB LEVEL 

  • Scheduler IV – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Scheduler III – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience; two (2) years experience
  • Scheduler II – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience; four (4) years experience
  • Scheduler I - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience; six (6) years experience
