- Conduct research, analyze data, present data at conferences, generate manuscripts for publication, contribute to grant proposals.
- Mentor graduate student and undergraduate students in the lab on techniques and experimental approaches.
- Contribute to general lab duties, lab meetings, and department seminars and other events.

Position Overview
The Fehr Lab at the University of Kansas seeks applications from highly-motivated and accomplished individuals for a post-doctoral position to conduct research on host-pathogen interactions of coronaviruses.
The project will involve several molecular and genetic techniques including but not limited to: molecular cloning, cell culture, animal work, virological assays, gene knockdown/knockout, gene expression analysis, and protein-protein interactions/proteomics. The post-doc will also be trained to work in our bio-safety level-3 (BSL-3) facility for work with SARS-CoV-2 and MERS-CoV.
The University of Kansas is centered in Lawrence, Kansas. Lawrence is a vibrant, progressive college town with plenty of good food, cultural events and a wonderful downtown area with a very reasonable cost of living, and is about 45 miles from Kansas City.
Length of Appointment: Initial appointment is for two years, with the second year of the appointment contingent on postdoc’s progress. Appointment may be continued thereafter depending on funding.
