    About the Position

The Building Nurse plays a critical role in supporting a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive. Serving as the school's primary health professional, the nurse provides direct care to students, including first aid, illness assessment, and management of chronic health conditions. Responsibilities include administering medications, maintaining accurate health records, and developing and monitoring Individual Health Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Care Plans (ECPs), while supporting student accommodations as needed.

The nurse is responsible for promoting overall school health by monitoring communicable illnesses, ensuring compliance with immunization requirements, conducting health screenings, and responding to medical emergencies. Maintaining a safe and welcoming health office is an essential component of the role.
