The role:

The Material Handler is responsible for off-loading and packaging top quality foam boards with optimal efficiency on the Fome-Cor Line. The Material Handler must adhere to EHS policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.

  • Ensure compliance to all EHS policies and procedures.
  • Move, stack, and store material and finished products.
  • Operate forklift daily, as needed
  • Operate stretch wrap machine, as needed
  • Keep work area clean and neat throughout the shift.
  • Supply machines with required and correct materials.
  • Communicate with Production Coordinator daily.
  • Respond to line breaks and board buckles.
  • Place finished products in designated rows neatly and evenly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED with previous manufacturing facility experience is preferred.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Accurately document and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Proficient in the safe use of utility knives, hand and automatic banders, band cutters, staple gun, shrink wrapper and radial saw.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • The volume of work requires the handling of multiple tasks on multiple products.
