Occupational Therapist, OT (Full-Time)

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides skilled therapy services to patients in a subacute rehabilitation environment. The OT will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs aimed at enhancing patients’ ability to perform daily living activities and improve overall functional independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patients’ needs, goals, and functional limitations.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and therapeutic goals.
Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize various therapeutic techniques to promote rehabilitation and recovery, focusing on improving fine motor skills, coordination, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies for maintaining independence.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulations.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and physicians, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Continuing Education: Stay updated on best practices, evidence-based techniques, and advancements in occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure: Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience: Previous experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
Full-time position, typically involving direct patient care in a rehabilitation facility.
May require flexibility in scheduling, including weekends or holidays.
